Welcome to the first weekly wrap up of 2022! Make that the first weekly wrap up… ever?! This week, we’re recapping some staples from H&M and The Iconic, as well as some cool home bits!
I love sharing my finds with you, however there’s only so much you can fit into an Instagram story! So I’ve decided to revive my blog, and recap my week and include helpful links to pieces YOU have been on the hunt for, as well as some exclusive bits that you won’t see anywhere else but here! I’m also here to remind you that you can look boujee on a budget with affordable styles, $150 and under!
I shared this OOTD on Instagram with the black pants as my hero piece. I’ve styled mine with these comfy, new Kmart sneakers I picked up in early January, but you can easily elevate the look with a sandal or heel for a chic workwear look! My OG followers know I’m a sucker for a blazer, and if it was cold enough in Sydney for it, you know I’d be chucking one on top of this outfit!
The pants I shared are old stock from H&M (staying true to the #PickWellStyleOften mantra) so I’ve found some alternatives you can shop!
ps: It’s handy if you become a Uniqlo member, as you can get exclusive member discounts! These are also the most similar in my opinion to the ones I’m wearing.
ps: you can actually shop the The Iconic picks from this post at 40% OFF!
The Iconic are currently having enjoy 40% off brands like AERE, Atmos&Here, Dazie and SPURR – just to name a few! These are all brands that I know and love from the Iconic! I’ve popped a few of my favourites in my Instagram “On the Hunt” highlight if you want to see some of my picks from the sale! (sale ends 24.01.22)
If you’re reading this and the sale has ended, do not fret! The Iconic have flash sales quite frequently, so instead of paying full price, hold off until you can save some coin!
If you didn’t know, I also have a TikTok account (shameless plug!) and I’ve had a few questions about where my beige linen dress is from, from the past couple of videos!
This is the Fleur Linen Mini Dress by Atmos&Here surprise, surprise purchased from The Iconic!
This dress was truly a summer staple, and a timeless piece. You can’t go wrong with linen, it’s super breathable and the neutral tones make this piece easy to style! The flutter sleeve is a nice, soft alternative to puff sleeve trend as well.
I paired mine with sneakers as I was hunting all day, so I dressed for comfort. Like most of my wardrobe staples, you can change out shoes and accessories to elevate your look from day to night!
Okay, okay, enough about staples from H&M and The Iconic – let’s talk hair! The Dyson AirWrap is all the rage right now, I’ve seen it pop up all over my TikTok FYP! However, I’ve got my own little secret weapon that won’t break the bank.
I use the VS Sassoon Frizz Defense Hair Styler! It retails for around $70, but depending on which stockists, you can probably get it on sale!
I bought mine from Priceline in October 2020, and it’s still going strong! It’s so easy to use, and leaves my hair looking like I just walked straight out of the salon. I filmed an IGTV video showing how I use mine for reference!
And I hear you asking, hey Tina? Where’s your orange dress from in the photo? It’s the Aspyn Linen Dress from from the Self Styler!
I also wanted to share with you my new mirror for my studio space! It’s a beautiful, gold framed, arched mirror and fills up the space so nicely. I purchased this from Sydney Mirrors, and I know mirrors can be super expensive and more of an investment piece. The thing I love about Sydney Mirrors, is that they offer luxe pieces for an affordable price point.
So my mirror selfies are going to look even better, thanks to this piece!
And that’s a wrap! The first post, of hopefully many more, I hope this will help you in your hunt for your own staple pieces! As we can tell, I love shopping staples at H&M and The Iconic, but where are your favourite places to shop?
Happy hunting!
Tina xo
