A couple of weeks ago I received a message from a reader requesting some inspo to put together outfits for the school run. Now, I’ve never had to do a school run myself but it got me thinking about key pieces I always have in my wardrobe for casual yet polished everyday looks. Read on for my top 3!

1.  Loose printed dress

(Wearing Cotton On Dress)

Prints add interest to an outfit and removes the need to accessories. Darker hues are also great at hiding creases on those rushed mornings (perfect if you HATE ironing like me!). Opting for a loose cut also allows for restyling with a belt- love a good double wear piece!

I nabbed this Cotton On dress for 30% off as they have a discount for first time online buyers buuuut seeing as it’s just $40 full priced you can’t go wrong.

2. Ankle grazer pants

(Wearing Target pants and top (similar), Sofia Cruz loafers)

As easy to style as jeans (and as comfy!) the classic ankle grazer (or 7/8th length) is another great multi style piece. I’ve got both looser fit as seen here and the ‘tregging‘ tighter fit style which are super cute with over sized shirts and knits.

3. Pointed flats

(Wearing Nine West flats)

How good are flats, tho? My fave are pointed or almond toe styles as they instantly polish off a look. For everyday wear I prefer to buy in store cos I need them COMFY. Nine West always do a great flat ( and they’ve got a 25% off sale at the moment!) but I’ve found great ones at Sportsgirl and Witchery. Pair with the dresses or pants mentioned above and you’re good to go!
